Biography
Bryan Dick is a British actor born on 1 February 1978 in Carlisle, England. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2000, and has worked in film, television and theatre since the early 1990s.
His early screen credits include the role of Guy with Hat's Mate in Lynne Ramsay's Morvern Callar (2002). He appeared as Joseph Nagle in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) and as Rafe in Blood and Chocolate (2007). On television he played DC Blythe in Blackpool (2004) and has featured in series including Torchwood, Being Human and Midsomer Murders.
Dick is perhaps best known for portraying Ernie Wise in the BBC biopic Eric and Ernie (2011), which won a BAFTA. He has also performed in stage productions at the National Theatre and elsewhere.
