Biography

Carlos Cuarón is a Mexican screenwriter, film director and producer. Born on 2 October 1966 in Mexico City, he studied English literature at UNAM. He is the brother of director Alfonso Cuarón.

He wrote the screenplay for Sólo con tu pareja (1991), directed by his brother, which won the Ariel Award for best original screenplay. With Alfonso, he co-wrote Y Tu Mamá También (2001), which received the Silver Lion for best original screenplay at the Venice Film Festival and nominations for the Academy Award and BAFTA Award in the same category.

Cuarón made his directorial debut with Rudo y Cursi (2008), which he also wrote. He later directed and wrote Sugar Kisses (2013).
