Biography
Caroline Baron is an American film and television producer. She began her career as a production manager on The Toxic Avenger (1984) and served as an associate producer on the television series The Wonder Years (1988–1989). Her producing credits include Monsoon Wedding (2001), Capote (2005), for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, Admission (2013) and the series Mozart in the Jungle (2014).
In 1999 Baron founded FilmAid International, a non-profit organisation that uses film and media to provide information and support in refugee communities. She is an adjunct professor in the undergraduate film programme at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 2005 she co-founded the production company A-Line Pictures with her husband, screenwriter and director Anthony Weintraub.
