Biography
Catherine Smith, also credited as Cat Smith, is a production designer and art director. She began her career in the art department on feature films, working as assistant art director on American Beauty (1999) and as set designer on titles including Scary Movie 2 (2001), Freaky Friday (2003) and Smokin' Aces (2006).
She progressed to art director on television series such as True Blood (2008–2014) before becoming a production designer. Her credits in that role include Transparent (2014–2019), Yellowjackets (2021), The Dropout (2022), Lessons in Chemistry (2023) and The Fabulous Four (2024). Smith has received one Primetime Emmy Award and multiple nominations for her work.
