Biography
Catherine Goldschmidt is a cinematographer. She was born on 21 October 1983 in Berkeley, California, USA. She holds a BA in Film Studies from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute Conservatory.
Her credits include director of photography on episodes of House of the Dragon (2022–2024), The Last of Us (2023 and 2025), Renegade Nell (2024) and Chloe (2022). She has also worked on Doctor Who and independent features. Goldschmidt is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers and the American Society of Cinematographers, and a founding member of the illuminatrix collective.
