Biography
Charles Braverman is an American director, producer and documentary filmmaker. He studied cinema at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1967, and began his career with the short film American Time Capsule (1968).
He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including St. Elsewhere (1982), Sledge Hammer! (1986), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Northern Exposure (1990), Melrose Place (1992) and Baywatch (1989). His television films include The Brotherhood of Justice (1986).
Braverman was nominated for an Academy Award for the documentary short Curtain Call (2000) and received three Directors Guild of America nominations for documentary directing, winning in 2000 for High School Boot Camp.
