Biography
Charles Drake (born Charles Ruppert) was an American actor. He was born in New York City on 2 October 1917. After graduating from Nichols College, he worked as a salesman before turning to acting in 1939 and signing a contract with Warner Bros.
Drake served in the United States Army during the Second World War. He returned to Hollywood after the war and appeared in films including Winchester '73 (1950), in which he played Steve Miller, and Harvey (1950). He later worked at Universal Studios and took on supporting roles in numerous dramas, westerns and other genres, as well as guest appearances in television series such as the original Star Trek.
He died in East Lyme, Connecticut, on 10 September 1994.
