Biography
Charles Rocket was an American actor, comedian and former television news reporter. Born in Bangor, Maine, he worked as a local news anchor in the 1970s before joining the cast of Saturday Night Live for its 1980–1981 season, where he anchored Weekend Update.
His film roles include Lieutenant Elgin in Dances with Wolves (1990) and the villain Nicholas Andre in Dumb and Dumber (1994). He also appeared in Hocus Pocus (1993) and Short Cuts (1993), and provided voice work for animated projects including Titan A.E. (2000) and Batman Beyond (1999). Rocket died in 2005.
