Biography

Chris Hanley is an American film producer. He was raised in Montclair, New Jersey, and studied literature and philosophy at Amherst College, as well as at Columbia University and Oxford. In 1991, he and his wife Roberta founded Muse Productions to develop and produce feature films.

Hanley's early credits include executive producer on Split Second (1992). He produced Freeway (1996), Trees Lounge (1996) and Buffalo '66 (1998). Subsequent productions include The Virgin Suicides (1999), American Psycho (2000), Bully (2001), Spun (2003), The Killer Inside Me (2010) and Spring Breakers (2013). He received Independent Spirit Award nominations for Trees Lounge and Buffalo '66.
