Biography
Chris Terrio is an American screenwriter and film director. Born on 31 December 1976 in New York City, he graduated from Harvard University and studied at the University of Cambridge and the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
He directed the feature Heights (2005) and an episode of the television series Damages (2007). Terrio is best known for writing the screenplay for Argo (2012), directed by Ben Affleck, which earned him the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and nominations for the Golden Globe and BAFTA awards.
His other screenwriting credits include Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Justice League (2017) and its 2021 director's cut, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), which he co-wrote with J. J. Abrams.
