Biography
Christiane Seidel is an actress. Born on 3 April 1988 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to a Danish mother and a German father, she grew up in Denmark and Germany. She studied media management in Europe before training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
Seidel is known for recurring roles including Sigrid Mueller in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire (2011–2014), Martha in the Netflix series Godless (2017), Hannah in the FX series Fosse/Verdon (2019) and Helen Deardorff in the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit (2020). Her film credits include The Hollow (2016), Human Capital (2019), Paradise Highway (2022) and Boon (2022). She has also worked as a producer and served with the Scandinavian American Theater Company.
