Biography
Christine Boylan is an American television writer and producer. She was born on 25 July 1977. She attended Hofstra University and was a Fulbright Scholar at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, where she studied German and English literature. Her early career included an internship at the soap opera All My Children and a writers’ assistant role on Gilmore Girls.
Boylan’s first staff writing position was on the TNT series Leverage (2008–2010). She later wrote for Off the Map (2011), Castle (2012), Once Upon a Time (2012–2013), Constantine (2014–2015), Marvel’s The Punisher (2017–2019), Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger (2018), Poker Face (2023) and Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024). She has also served as a producer on several of these series. In 2010 she married screenwriter Eric Heisserer. She is the founder of the Los Angeles theatre company Bespoke Plays.
