Biography
Christopher Norr is a cinematographer. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he began working in the industry as a teenager, loading camera magazines for his father, the commercial cinematographer Carl Norr, from the age of 13 and shooting short films by 18.
He worked as a camera assistant on features including Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) and When Harry Met Sally... (1989) before becoming a director of photography. Norr’s credits as DP include the feature Sinister (2012) and the series Gotham (2014–2016), for which he received three consecutive ASC Award nominations, as well as Godfather of Harlem (2019) and Succession (2018–), on which he served as co-cinematographer.
He was elected to membership of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2022.
