Biography
Christopher Russell is a British television and radio scriptwriter. He began writing radio plays in the mid-1970s and became a full-time scriptwriter in 1980. His television credits include episodes of Midsomer Murders (2000–2002), Bergerac (1991), A Touch of Frost (1994–1996), The Bill (1985–1994), EastEnders (1985) and Cadfael (1996–1998).
Russell has also written for children's television series such as Look and Read (1983–1988). He has authored several children's books, including Brind and the Dogs of War and Smugglers, and was shortlisted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize and the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize. He lives on the Isle of Wight and is married to Christine Russell.
