Biography
Peter Smith, also credited as Peter K. Smith, is a British director, editor and writer. He was born on 3 February 1936 in Hampstead, North London.
Smith directed an episode of the police series The Sweeney in 1978. His other television credits include episodes of Midsomer Murders, A Touch of Frost, Emmerdale, The Bill and The Storyteller. Among his film and miniseries work are A Private Enterprise (1974), which he also wrote and edited, No Surrender (1985) and A Perfect Spy (1987).
His father, Trevor Smith, was a special foreign affairs correspondent for the London newspaper The Herald. Smith has received BAFTA nominations for his work.
