Biography
Daisy Jessica Edgar-Jones is an English actress. She was born on 24 May 1998 in Islington, London. She trained with the National Youth Theatre and studied with the Open University. Her father, Philip Edgar-Jones, is director of Sky Arts and head of entertainment at Sky.
She began her career with roles in the television series Cold Feet (2016–2020) and War of the Worlds (2019–2021). She gained recognition for her starring role as Marianne Sheridan in the BBC/Hulu series Normal People (2020).
Her film roles include Fresh (2022), Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) and Twisters (2024), in which she played Kate. She also appeared in the miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven (2022) and the film On Swift Horses (2024), which she executive produced. On stage, she has performed in West End productions including an adaptation of The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2017) and a revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (2024).
