Biography
Dan Rae is a British film and television editor. Born in 1937 in London, he began working in the industry in the mid-1960s as an assistant editor, later taking on lead editing roles across features and television.
He edited the BBC miniseries Edge of Darkness (1985), for which he shared the 1986 BAFTA Television Craft Award for Best Film Editor with Ardan Fisher. His other credits include the films Paperhouse (1988), The Tall Guy (1989), Candyman (1992), Split Second (1992), Immortal Beloved (1994) and Hush (1998), as well as television work on series such as Tales of the City (1993) and Doctor Who.
