Biography

Daniel St. Pierre, also credited as Dan St. Pierre, is an American film director, art director, production designer, animator and musician. He studied at California State University, Northridge, and began working in animation in the early 1980s on television series including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. In 1989 he joined Walt Disney Feature Animation, contributing layout to The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991) and Aladdin (1992).

As art director on Tarzan (1999) he helped develop the Deep Canvas technique. He later worked at DreamWorks Animation and served as production designer on Shark Tale (2004). His directing credits include Everyone's Hero (2006), which he completed with Colin Brady, Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey (2010) and Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return (2014). He received a 1999 Annie Award nomination for production design on Tarzan.
