Biography

Danielle Brisebois is an American singer, songwriter, producer and former actress. She was born on 28 June 1969 in Brooklyn, New York.

She began her career as a child actress and is best known for playing Stephanie Mills on the sitcoms All in the Family (1978–1979) and Archie Bunker's Place (1979–1983). She also appeared in the original Broadway production of the musical Annie as Molly, and in guest roles including on Kojak and Knots Landing. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her work on Archie Bunker's Place.

After retiring from acting in the late 1980s, Brisebois pursued music. She was a member of the band New Radicals and has co-written songs including Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" and "Pocketful of Sunshine". With writing partner Gregg Alexander she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for "Lost Stars" from the film Begin Again (2013).
