Biography
Dave Hill is a British actor. He was born on 16 October 1945 in Skipton, Yorkshire, and attended Ermysted's Grammar School there. He began his career in the 1970s with the Ken Campbell Roadshow, performing alongside Bob Hoskins and Jane Wood, whom he later married.
Hill is known for his role as Alan in the film The Full Monty (1997). His other screen work includes appearances in The Duellists (1977), The Draughtsman's Contract (1982), There's Only One Jimmy Grimble (2000) and television series such as EastEnders (as Bert Atkinson, 2006–2007 and 2017), Skins, Midsomer Murders, Vera, All Creatures Great & Small (2020) and The Responder (2022).
