Biography
Dave McCary is an American producer, director and writer. Born on 2 July 1985 in San Diego, California, he studied at the University of Southern California and co-founded the sketch comedy group Good Neighbor.
From 2013 to 2018 he worked as a segment director and writer on Saturday Night Live. He directed the feature Brigsby Bear (2017).
In 2020 McCary and his wife, actress Emma Stone, founded the production company Fruit Tree. He has produced When You Finish Saving the World (2023), Problemista (2024), I Saw the TV Glow (2024) and A Real Pain (2024).
