Biography
David Kaplan is a film producer based in Brooklyn, New York. He was a principal and co-founder of the New York production company Animal Kingdom, and has worked in independent production, finance and sales for over two decades. He previously worked with producer Christine Vachon.
Kaplan produced It Follows (2015). His other credits as producer or executive producer include Short Term 12 (2013), Drinking Buddies (2013), Obvious Child (2014), It Comes at Night (2017), Tramps (2016), Kicks (2016), Goodnight Mommy (2022) and The Testament of Ann Lee (2025). He was named one of Daily Variety's "10 Producers to Watch" in 2014 and one of Screen International's "Future Leaders" in 2015.
