Biography
David Klotz is an American composer and music editor. He graduated from Emerson College in 1994 and has worked extensively in film and television music.
As a music editor, he has contributed to series including Stranger Things, Game of Thrones and American Horror Story, winning eight Primetime Emmy Awards for his editorial work. His composing credits include the score for the Netflix film The Prom (2020, co-composed with Matthew Sklar), episodes of American Horror Stories (2021–2024), The Watcher (2022, co-composed with Morgan Kibby), American Sports Story (2024) and the series All's Fair (2025, co-composed with Morgan Kibby). He is credited as composer on the 2026 series The Shards.
Klotz formed the band Fonda in the 1990s and the synth-based project DREAM SYSTEM 8 in 2016. He has also written and performed songs for film and television, including a cover of "The NeverEnding Story" for Stranger Things.
