Biography
David Knoller is a television producer, director and writer. He grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from California State University, Northridge. He began his career as an actor before producing live television stand-up specials for HBO and CBS, and later worked as a physical production and creative executive at HBO and AMC.
Knoller produced the pilot of Freaks and Geeks (1999). He served in various producer and director roles on Big Love (2006–2011), and as executive producer on Lovecraft Country (2020), Here and Now (2018) and The Changeling (2023). He also worked on Carnivàle and Power.
He received a CableACE Award and an NAACP Image Award for the 1996 television film America's Dream, and earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for Big Love. He is married to producer Wendy Knoller.
