Biography
David Lyons is an Australian actor. He was born on 16 April 1976 in Melbourne and graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2004.
He first gained prominence in Australia as Leading Seaman Josh Holiday in the naval drama Sea Patrol (2007–2009). Subsequent roles include Dr Simon Brenner in ER (2008–2009) and General Sebastian Monroe in Revolution (2012–2014). Film credits include Eat Pray Love (2010) and Safe Haven (2013).
Lyons has appeared in The Night Agent (2023) and portrayed FBI agent Brian Abbott in the 2025 Netflix series The Beast in Me. He is married to actress Carly Pope.
