Biography

David Ray is a film and television editor. His feature credits include Scarface (1983), The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990), The Handmaid's Tale (1990), Billy Bathgate (1991), A Bronx Tale (1993), Uptown Girls (2003) and Carlito's Way: Rise to Power (2005). He has also worked as an associate or additional editor on titles such as All That Jazz (1979) and Hamlet (2000).

Ray began in sound editing and editorial departments on films including The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) and Reds (1981). His television work encompasses episodes of Blue Bloods, Borgia and Billions, and he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his editing.
