Biography
David Sacks is an American television writer and producer. He attended Harvard College, graduating with a degree in government in 1984, and began his comedy writing career as an editor of the Harvard Lampoon. After moving to Los Angeles, he worked as a writer on series including Not Necessarily the News, Women in Prison, Empty Nest and Murphy Brown.
Sacks served as a writer and producer on The Simpsons during seasons five and six (1993–1995), contributing to 47 episodes and writing the season six episode 'Fear of Flying'; the series won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 1995. His other credits include writing and producing on 3rd Rock from the Sun (for which he received a Golden Globe Award), Malcolm in the Middle, The Tick and Regular Show, as well as creating Game Over and Lewis Black's The Root of All Evil.
