Biography
David Webb Peoples is an American screenwriter. Born on 9 February 1940 in Middletown, Connecticut, he studied English at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a film editor in the 1970s while writing screenplays.
His screenwriting career began with the co-credit (with Hampton Fancher) on Blade Runner (1982). Subsequent credits include Ladyhawke (1985), Leviathan (1989), Unforgiven (1992), 12 Monkeys (1995, co-written with his wife Janet Peoples), and Soldier (1998). He also wrote and directed The Blood of Heroes (1989).
Peoples received an Academy Award nomination for the screenplay of Unforgiven.
