Biography

Dean Zimmerman (born 8 April 1974) is an American film and television editor. He is a member of the American Cinema Editors and a frequent collaborator of director Shawn Levy.

Zimmerman edited episodes of the Netflix series Stranger Things (2016–), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing and received two further nominations. His feature credits include Night at the Museum (2006), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), Real Steel (2011), Free Guy (2021), The Adam Project (2022) and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).

He is the son of editor Don Zimmerman and twin brother of editor Dan Zimmerman.
