Biography
Debbie O'Malley is a British television writer and producer. After reading English at Cambridge, she worked as an actor and freelance reader for theatre and television companies including Paines Plough and Carlton. She later served as a script editor for United/LWT and the BBC before writing full-time.
Her credits include episodes of Call the Midwife (2019–2021), Humans (2018), All Creatures Great & Small (2020–2024), The Game (2014), Silk (2012) and Upstairs Downstairs (2010). She has also written for Law & Order: UK, Case Histories and Harlots, and created and written series including Payback (2023) and The Lady (2026). She has served as associate producer and executive producer on several projects.
