Biography
Derek Mio is an American actor. Born in 1982 in Huntington Beach, California, he graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a degree in film production. He is a fourth-generation Japanese American.
Mio is known for his lead performance as Chester Nakayama in the second season of the AMC anthology series The Terror (2019). He had a recurring role as Wade Matthews on Greek (2007–2011) and has made guest appearances on series including Grey's Anatomy, House, Supergirl, Hawaii Five-0 and Bones. His film credits include a voice role as the Elephant in The Emoji Movie (2017).
