Biography

Dien van Straalen (1947–2010) was a Dutch costume designer. She worked on several films by Peter Greenaway, including A Zed & Two Noughts (1985), Drowning by Numbers (1988) and The Baby of Mâcon (1993).

Her credits also include Orlando (1992), The Pillow Book (1995), Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) and The Libertine (2004). She received an Academy Award nomination for best costume design for the latter film.
