Biography

Dietrich Hollinderbäumer is a German-Swedish actor born on 16 August 1942 in Essen. He trained at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm and began his career in German theatre, with engagements at the Westfälisches Landestheater from 1968 to 1972, Theater & Orchester Heidelberg from 1978 to 1983, and the Burgtheater in Vienna from 1983 to 1988.

He is known for playing Adam in the Netflix series Dark (2017–2020), Ritter Robert von Greim in Downfall (2004), Göran in The Bridge (2011), and Volker Pastewka in Pastewka (2005–2020). Since 2009 he has appeared regularly as Ulrich von Heesen in the ZDF satire programme heute-show. He has two children who work as actors.
