Biography
Dina Merrill (born Nedenia Marjorie Hutton) was an American actress. She was born in New York City on 29 December 1923 and died in East Hampton, New York, on 22 May 2017.
She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and made her Broadway debut in The Mermaids Singing in 1945. Her film career began with Desk Set (1957). She appeared in Operation Petticoat (1959), The Sundowners (1960) as Jean Halstead, BUtterfield 8 (1960) and later films including The Player (1992) and Shade (2003). Merrill also had numerous television roles, among them Calamity Jan in Batman (1966).
She was married to actor Cliff Robertson and later to producer Ted Hartley.
