Biography
Donald Brochu is an American film editor. He began his career as an assistant editor on films including Tootsie (1982) and received his first editing credit on The Slugger's Wife (1985). He edited The Fugitive (1993), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing.
Brochu has edited numerous feature films such as Under Siege (1992), Volcano (1997) and Blast from the Past (1999). He has collaborated frequently with directors including Andrew Davis and Kenny Ortega. Since the early 2000s he has worked primarily on television films and series, including the Descendants trilogy (2015–2019) and Julie and the Phantoms (2020), for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award.
He is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
