Biography
Don King is an American boxing promoter who has made numerous appearances in film and television, usually playing himself. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on 20 August 1931, he first gained prominence in the 1970s by promoting major bouts including the Rumble in the Jungle and Thrilla in Manila.
On screen he appears as himself in the documentary When We Were Kings (1996). He has cameo roles in feature films such as Head Office (1985) and The Devil's Advocate (1997), and guest spots on series including Knight Rider (1986), Miami Vice (1987), Moonlighting (1986) and Blossom (1991). He is also featured in later documentaries such as Tyson (2008) and Klitschko (2011).
