Biography
Don Rhymer was an American screenwriter and film producer. Born in Union, South Carolina, he graduated from James Madison University in 1982 with a double major in English and communications.
He began his career writing for television series including Coach, Evening Shade, Hearts Afire and Caroline in the City. His feature film credits include the screenplays for Big Momma's House (2000), The Santa Clause 2 (2002), Surf's Up (2007) and Rio (2011), as well as story contributions to Ferdinand (2017).
Rhymer died in Los Angeles on 28 November 2012.
