Biography
John C. Donkin is an American producer and director. He began his career in computer animation in 1983, studying at the Computer Graphics Research Group at Ohio State University, and later worked as a senior animator at Cranston/Csuri Productions. He joined Blue Sky Studios in 1998.
Donkin produced several Blue Sky Studios films, including Robots (2005), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Rio (2011), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and Rio 2 (2014). He received an Academy Award nomination for producing the short film Gone Nutty (2002). He later directed The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022).
