Biography

Eduard Grau, also credited as Edu Grau, is a Spanish cinematographer. Born in Barcelona in 1981, he trained at the Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia and the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom.

He shot his first feature, Honor de Cavalleria (2006), at the age of 23. International recognition followed with A Single Man (2009), after which his credits include Buried (2010), The Gift (2015), Suffragette (2015), Boy Erased (2018), Passing (2021) and The Room Next Door (2024).

Grau became a member of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2021 and has received awards including a Camerimage Bronze Frog for Buried and the Goya Award for best cinematography for The Room Next Door.
