Biography
Edward T. McAvoy (1949–2005) was an American production designer and art director. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he began his career in the art department on films including Young Frankenstein (1974) and The Towering Inferno (1974), later working as an assistant art director and standby painter.
He advanced to art director on titles such as The Rock (1996) and Con Air (1997), before becoming production designer on Office Space (1999), Wild Things (1998), Ghost World (2001) and Monster (2003). His credits also include the television series Push, Nevada (2002) and the film The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio (2005).
