Biography
Elina Löwensohn is a Romanian-born American actress. Born on 11 July 1966 in Bucharest, Romania, she moved to the United States as a teenager after the death of her father. She studied acting at Michigan State University and New York University's Playwrights Horizons Theater School.
Löwensohn began her screen career in 1991 with the short film Theory of Achievement. She is known for her roles as Diana Reiter in Schindler's List (1993), Annina Nosei in Basquiat (1996), a part in A Very Long Engagement (2004), and La voyante in The Beast (2024). She has appeared in numerous American independent films and French productions, and has a long-term professional association with director Bertrand Mandico.
