Biography

Elliot Davis is an American cinematographer born on 23 May 1948. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film from UCLA.

Davis began working as a cinematographer in the mid-1970s. He has collaborated frequently with directors including Steven Soderbergh on King of the Hill (1993), The Underneath (1995), Gray's Anatomy (1996) and Out of Sight (1998); Catherine Hardwicke on Thirteen (2003), Lords of Dogtown (2005), The Nativity Story (2006) and Twilight (2008); and Jessie Nelson on I Am Sam (2001) and Love the Coopers (2015). His other credits include The Iron Lady (2011), Dumplin' (2018) and Hocus Pocus 2 (2022).
