Biography
Elyes Cherif Gabel is a British actor born on 8 May 1983 in Westminster, London. He trained at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, as well as at Strodes College, Oldham Theatre Workshop and the Northern Kids Theatre Company. He began his career with roles in British television, including a series regular part as Dr Gurpreet "Guppy" Sandhu in the BBC medical drama Casualty (2004–2007).
Gabel gained further recognition for playing Rakharo in the first two seasons of the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011–2012) and Walter O'Brien in the CBS series Scorpion (2014–2018). His film roles include Andrew Fassbach in World War Z (2013), an administrator in Interstellar (2014), Julian in A Most Violent Year (2014) and Adem Qasim in Spooks: The Greater Good (2015). He later appeared as Sean Tilson in the Apple TV+ series Suspicion (2022).
