Biography
Enda Walsh is an Irish playwright and screenwriter. Born in Dublin on 7 February 1967, he studied communications at Rathmines College and acted with the Dublin Youth Theatre before moving to Cork, where he began writing for the stage with the company Corcadorca.
His breakthrough came with the play Disco Pigs (1996), which he adapted for the 2001 film. He co-wrote the screenplay for Hunger (2008) and has maintained a long collaboration with actor Cillian Murphy. His screen credits also include The House (2022), Small Things Like These (2024) and the screenplay for Die My Love (2025).
