Biography
Eric Watson is an American film producer, writer and director. He studied Broadcast Communications Arts at San Francisco State University and Motion Picture Production at the American Film Institute, where he received the Mary Pickford Scholarship. At the AFI he began a collaboration with director Darren Aronofsky; the pair founded Protozoa Pictures and Watson produced Aronofsky’s debut feature Pi (1998), on which he also received a story credit.
Watson continued to produce Aronofsky’s early films, including Requiem for a Dream (2000), Below (2002) and The Fountain (2006). His other producing credits include Virginia (2010), Aftermath (2017) and The Bygone (2019), as well as the National Geographic series Limitless with Chris Hemsworth. He has also written screenplays, including for It Snows All the Time (2022).
