Biography
Evan A. Lottman was an American film editor. Born in New York City in 1931, he studied at Kenyon College and the University of Southern California, and began his career editing television documentaries and industrial films in New York.
He collaborated frequently with directors Jerry Schatzberg and Alan J. Pakula. His credits include The Panic in Needle Park (1971), The Exorcist (1973), for which he shared an Academy Award nomination, Apocalypse Now (1979), Sophie's Choice (1982), The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984) and Presumed Innocent (1990). He also taught film editing at Columbia University.
Lottman died in New York City in 2001.
