Biography
France Nuyen, also credited as France Nguyễn Vân Nga, is a French-American actress. She was born on 31 July 1939 in Marseille, France.
Nuyen made her film debut as Liat in South Pacific (1958). She originated the title role in the Broadway production of The World of Suzie Wong (1958). Her film and television credits include Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973) as Alma, the Star Trek episode 'Elaan of Troyius' (1968) as Elaan, Columbo (1978), St. Elsewhere (1986–1988) as Dr Paulette Kiem, and The Joy Luck Club (1993).
She has also worked as a model and, since earning a master's degree in clinical psychology in 1986, as a psychological counsellor.
