Biography
Frank Lamm is a German cinematographer. Born in Bad Arolsen in 1979, he grew up in Korbach and studied mediadesign at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz before attending the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg from 2002. He graduated in 2008 with the film Novemberkind, directed by Christian Schwochow, with whom he has maintained a long collaboration.
Lamm’s feature credits include Paula (2016), The German Lesson (2019) and Munich: The Edge of War (2021). On television he has served as director of photography on episodes of The Crown (2019–2022), three episodes of the series Andor (2022) and three episodes of Bait (2026). He has received the Bavarian Film Prize for cinematography on The German Lesson and the German Television Prize for Die Täter – Heute ist nicht alle Tage (2016).
