Biography
Frank McRae was an American actor and former professional football player. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from Tennessee State University with a double major in drama and history, and played as a defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears in the 1967 NFL season.
McRae appeared in numerous films from the 1970s onwards, including Rocky II (1979), 48 Hrs. (1982) as Captain Haden, National Lampoon's Vacation (1983), Red Dawn (1984), Licence to Kill (1989) as Sharkey, Lock Up (1989) and Last Action Hero (1993). He also had guest roles on television series such as ER. He died on 29 April 2021 in Santa Monica, California.
