Biography
Frankie Avalon, born Francis Thomas Avallone, is an American actor and singer. He began his career as a teen idol in the late 1950s, achieving chart success with singles including "Venus" (1959) before transitioning to film and television roles.
Avalon appeared as Smitty in the 1960 western The Alamo. He is also known for his roles in the 1960s beach party film series alongside Annette Funicello and as Teen Angel in the 1978 musical Grease.
